BIOGRAPHY

Tamsanqa Mbenenge (born 21 February 1990), better known by his stage name Natz EfX , is an East London based Dj originally from Mthatha. Born in Gauteng and raised in Eastern Cape Mthatha, he became interested in performing at an early age. He started DJ-ing at the age of 15 playing at weddings, house parties, matric farewells and corporate events.
 
By the age of 19 he had already mastered the art of mixing and was sharing the stage with industry greats like Dj Black Coffee, Christos, Cleo and many other national DJs.

In 2009 he made it to the Regional Finals in the Channel O next Big thing DJ Competition. The show aired on Channel O and the national broadcaster, SABC 1 where he came second Place.
 
He started making his own music in 2010 and received a nod by industry great DJ Black Coffee in 2012 when his song Surroundings was featured in “The Djoon Experience compiled & mixed by Black Coffee and Joe Claussell”. The compilation was released in Europe and was later re-released in South Africa in 2014 by DJ Euphonik with a feature in Album For Love of House Vol 6.

He learned to play the Soprano Saxophone in 2014 after challenging himself to add a unique touch to his music and he quickly progressed in playing the instrument.
 
In 2015 he started incorporating the saxophone into his live DJ sets which made him gain recognition. He has since secured bookings across the country , and his biggest performance highlight remains sharing an hour set with the legendary Black Coffee at his hometown in Mthatha.
